A spotlight on Prospect
Nestled just north of the Adelaide CBD is the well-established and much loved suburb of Prospect. Putting a finger on exactly why people enjoy living in Prospect is difficult, because there are so many possible reasons!
Community
Prospect is a family orientated area that has SO many options for clubs, parks and recreational services. There is a local library, public sports areas, playgrounds, sports clubs, community centres and community halls… to name a few.
If you like getting out and about, being physically active or socialising then you are spoilt for choice.
Tranquillity
There are many parks and green spaces in and around Prospects that make for a lovely tranquil place to live. Streets are tree lined and most have low speed limits set, meaning both safety and less traffic noise.
Night life
Prospect Road has so many wonderful options for eating out, plus the addition of a new art deco style cinema – meaning dinner and a movie is within walking distance! Some of our favourite restaurants are New Nordic for modern Nordic food, Sunny’s Shop for Asian, Meze Mazi for Greek, Café Cenna for Italian, Arriba Grill for Latin American, and Viet LÁmour for Vietnamese food.
Schools
The schools in the catchment area for Prospect are of excellent calibre and makes it attractive place for families to live. Depending on the school they are an easy walking distance – making drop off and pickups car free if you desire! There are also easily accessible renown private schools if that’s your preference.
Convenience
You really don’t have to go far to get your everyday essentials, and many things are within a 5 to 10 minute walk! Supermarkets, banks, chemists, food and general stores, petrol stations and the post office are all close by on either Prospect Road or at the North Park Shopping centre.
Access and connectivity
Prospect is very central to the CBD and surrounding areas of North Adelaide, Bowden. There is easy access to the ring route with transport to the western, eastern and southern suburbs. If you need access to public transport, buses run along both Prospect Road and Main North Road and you can reach the city in under 30 minutes. There is also the train line within easy reach, jump on at either Dudley Park or Ovingham station.
